   Announcements ​​​​  

• Welcome to worship. This is the second Sunday in the season of Advent. Advent is a time to wait, watch and prepare for the birth of Jesus. Thank you to everyone who makes this worship service possible and to those providing social time. Program Practice, Adult Sunday School and Church Council will meet after social time today.

 

• Advent offering envelopes are in your mailboxes. This year’s offering will go to Tiger Treats and the Juniata County Food Pantry. Donations are due Dec. 22nd. Thank you for your generosity. 

 

• Today is Penny Sunday. Please give your change to the children before the children’s message. 

 

• Christmas Angel Program Thank You – Thank you to all who gave gifts or helped with the Christmas Angel program this year. A special thank you to Sonya Nace for organizing the program. Thank you to all who donated gifts and helped with the Christmas Angel Project this year. This past week 43 families received gifts, turkeys and cleaning products.

 

• Cookies for Sonbeam Families – Thank you to all signed up to make cookies. All cookies are needed back next Sunday, Dec. 15th. Thank you for sharing Christmas cheer with the families we serve. 

 

• The Poinsettia order forms for Christmas are available now. The forms can be found in your mailboxes and the Newsletter. Please return them to Patty Erickson ASAP. Thank you.

 

• Annual Community Blue Christmas Service - Wednesday, Dec. 18th – 7 pm - Trinity United Methodist Church – 304 Juniata St., Mifflin - Join us for our annual community worship service hosted by the Juniata County Ministerium. This service is for all who struggle during the holidays; whether you have lost a loved one or have had a difficult year, come and place your hope in the coming birth of Jesus.

 

• Children’s Christmas Play - Sunday, Dec. 22nd – 9 am - Join us as the children and youth of Trinity share the Christmas story. Thank you to all of our Sunday School teachers for your hard work.

 

• Christmas in the Barn - Tuesday, Dec. 24th – 3 pm - Sawmill Ridge Heritage Farm – 1013 Dunn Valley Rd, McAlisterville- The Mummahs have graciously agreed to host a special Christmas Eve service at their barn. All are welcome as we sing carols, share holy communion and experience the birth of Jesus in a new way.

 

• Christmas Eve Candlelight Service - Tuesday, Dec. 24th – 7 pm - Join us for the traditional Christmas Candlelight service as we welcome the Christ-child with carols, prayers and thanksgiving. (There is no Christmas Day service this year.)
